Danish Game Awards will once again be held at Gamebox Festival this year, as the award ceremony and Denmark's largest gaming event have extended the collaboration for another two years. The festival will take place from 24 to 26 April 2026 at the MCH Messecenter Herning, and the Danish Game Awards will be held on 25 April.
Since 2024, Gamebox Festival has been the setting for the Danish Game Awards (DGA), and this year will be no different – the parties have extended their collaboration, which has been met with great enthusiasm in both camps.
Thomas Bense, CEO and founder of Pixel.tv and the man behind the awards ceremony, says that the audience can expect a festive evening celebrating the best of Danish gaming, the greatest achievements and the strong sense of community. In addition, it is rumoured that a surprise or two is expected to sneak into the show.
Dedicated and diverse approach
Gamebox Festival is also delighted with the extended collaboration. Nikolaj Pagh, project manager at MCH A/S, thanks Danish Game Awards for their trust and is delighted with the industry's support for Gamebox Festival as a whole. This support helps to ensure that the festival will once again offer a strong stage programme, prestigious tournaments, a host of well-known content creators, Nordic Card Show, Denmark's largest LAN and activities for the whole family in 2026.
