What are the rules for LAN?

  • Participants must wear access wristbands visibly at all times.
  • All participants are required to maintain good order (tidy up around you, be quiet and do not run around).
  • You must be quiet in the sleeping hall. If this is not observed, the noisy participant may be expelled without the possibility of a ticket refund.
  • There will be supervision throughout the event. This means regular checks in the sleeping hall and the LAN halls themselves, so that no dangerous situations arise.
  • You are not allowed to smoke inside Gamebox Festival. Smoking is only allowed in a designated area. If this is not respected, you may be expelled without notice and without the possibility of a ticket refund. This also applies to e-cigarettes and similar products.
  • You are NOT allowed to bring and consume alcohol in the LAN area.
  • Use our waste sorting system for bottles, cans, etc.
  • Speakers are not allowed!
  • It is forbidden to force access to other people's machines, cause damage to other people's computers or in any other way disturb others - electronically or verbally.
  • Piracy is illegal. It is also illegal at Gamebox Festival.
  • You may not make illegal software available to other participants according to the rules of the Copyright Act.
  • If the organiser learns that the rules of copyright law are being broken and illegal file sharing is taking place, action will be taken immediately.
  • Make sure you are aware of what other participants can access on your machine.
  • The organisers can check that the network facilities etc. made available during the event are not misused for illegal copying or making copyright material available.
  • The organisers can store the participant's traffic pattern in the form of the sending and receiving IP address, transport protocol and the time of the start and end of the communication.
  • The organisers accept NO responsibility for any illegal software on the participants' computers.
  • The organisers accept NO liability for damage of any kind to persons and equipment brought along. This applies to theft, vandalism, etc.
  • If a participant becomes aware that someone is not complying with the rules, the participant can at any time contact the crew or staff from MCH, and they will take the necessary measures.
