GAMEBOX FESTIVAL SETS EMPHATIC NEW ATTENDANCE RECORD

30,902 people visited Gamebox Festival 2025, which corresponds to a 30% increase in visitors - cementing the festival's status as the country's biggest gaming event. Both Elgiganten, which has been involved since the beginning, and Nordic Card Show, which was one of this year's big news, are excited about the festival, which took place at MCH Messecenter Herning 25-27 April.
Visitor numbers have only gone one way since Gamebox Festival first took place in 2022, and that's up - and this year, with competition from beautiful spring weather, the numbers were higher than ever. What started with 8,642 in 2022 has grown to 30,902 here in 2025, which naturally pleases Georg Sørensen, CEO of MCH A/S.
Gamebox Festival management states that the plan is to expand the festival further - not least the LAN part, which had already sold out all of its 2,300 seats two months before the festival started.
Elgiganten: It's gone crazy well
Among the partners that have been involved since the start is Elgiganten, which again this year played a central role at the festival with both a large store and giveaways on the Jyske Bank Main Stage. The effect of the extra large turnout has been clearly felt here.
Nordic Card Show: We were completely shut down
Gamebox Festival has been in constant motion since day one and still is - this year, for example, a new hall was dedicated to the Nordic Card Show for enthusiastic card collectors. The show had sold three times as many tables in advance as previous editions, and now that the festival is over, the people behind it can hardly keep their arms down.
Gamebox Festival 2025 also offered a host of entertaining activities such as meet ‘n’ greets with well-known content creators, game shows, show battles, LEGO shows and tournaments - see selected winners and all the winners from the Danish Game Awards, which were part of the festival again this year, in the fact box.
Gamebox Festival took place 25-27 April 2025 at MCH Messecenter Herning and was visited by 30,902 people. The next edition of the festival will take place 24-26 April 2026.
