The award show, which celebrates Denmark's dynamic and innovative video game industry, will once again be part of Denmark's largest gaming event, Gamebox Festival, in 2025. The festival will take place at MCH Messecenter Herning 25-27 April 2025, and the awards ceremony will take place on 26 April.

It was a great success when the Danish Game Awards were revived at Gamebox Festival back in April 2024, which is why the award show will return to the festival in 2025 - even with a show that surpasses this year's edition. That's the message from the man behind the awards ceremony, Thomas Bense, CEO and founder of Pixel.tv, who has high expectations for next year's edition.

- It will be a celebration of those who make an extraordinary effort to make gaming in Denmark a little more fun. Naturally, we will do our best to surpass the latest edition of the Danish Game Awards and are therefore working on some nice surprises - for example, we can reveal that behind the scenes we have been working on a new award that will be very special to unveil, says Thomas Bense.

He explains that the show will last around 90 minutes and that 10 awards will be presented to honour game development, influencers, e-sports and activities that have otherwise made a positive impact in terms of creating visibility for computer games in Denmark.

GOOD SYNERGY EFFECT
Thomas Bense is looking forward to reaping the benefits of the experience from 2024, which in his own words ‘in many ways was year one for the Danish Game Awards’, and he is pleased that the awards ceremony is once again part of the Gamebox Festival.

- ‘There is a good synergy in organising the Danish Game Awards in connection with Gamebox Festival. Herning is already in game mode and the centre of a lot of companies, a lot of visitors and not least a focus on gaming,’ says Thomas Bense.

Nikolaj Pagh, Project Manager, Gamebox Festival, shares this view.
- ‘Precisely because we already bring the industry together, the link between Gamebox Festival and the Danish Game Awards is obvious, and we are very much looking forward to welcoming the awards ceremony and the people behind it back. We are confident that the show will be a popular part of Gamebox Festival again in 2025,’ says Nikolaj Pagh.
