Denmark's largest gaming event has entered into a three-year partnership with the electronics chain POWER, which will thus become an active part of the continued development of Gamebox Festival. The next edition of the festival will take place on 24-26 April 2026.
When visitors arrive at Gamebox Festival this spring, they will encounter something new: the electronics chain POWER, which will be presenting “POWER City” – a universe consisting of a large store and a number of the company's suppliers, who will be providing entertainment for visitors. In addition, there will be a series of spectacular stage shows, all of which are the result of a new three-year partnership between POWER and Gamebox Festival.
At POWER, they see great potential in the collaboration and are not afraid to promise a party beyond the ordinary.
This venture fits like an SSD drive in a gaming laptop with our overall strategy at POWER, where we have a strong focus on gaming and, not least, gamers. They are a fantastic and very dedicated subculture, and I think that with our very own gaming city, “POWER City”, we are currently delivering what today's gamers want – with big stage shows, lots of activities and huge competitions and tournaments. So they can strap on their headsets in Herning, because we're going to throw a party they'll never forget, says Jesper Boysen, CEO of POWER.
In addition to the aforementioned store and stage programme, the agreement means that POWER is a partner in the LAN section of Gamebox Festival, which this year was sold out two months before the festival started and attracted a record 2,300 participants – a figure that is expected to be even higher in 2026.
Ambitions for further development
MCH is also very excited about the new collaboration and considers it ideal that it is POWER that has come on board.
- Since its inception in 2022, Gamebox Festival at MCH Messecenter Herning has undergone rapid development, and visitor numbers have risen significantly from year to year. We are naturally very pleased about this, and at the same time, it is our ambition to develop the festival further. I am therefore very excited about the collaboration with POWER, which perfectly matches our future plans for the festival, and I would like to thank POWER for their support and confidence in Gamebox Festival. They will now be an active part of the continued development of Denmark's largest gaming event, and I warmly welcome them, says Georg Sørensen, CEO of MCH A/S.
